We are facing an epidemic of pornography on the net of which the repercussions are still not fully understood. In fact it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, at any time can view porn online.
Governments are still tangled up by the “it is a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment which involves only an individual and the consenting adults who participate. Regulations has yet to catch up with reality sufficient reason for technology. In a world where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the web is becoming filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that nobody should be exposed to, let alone our children!
A written report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that people will pay the price for this.

There is no amount of education or warning that may prevent children from viewing pornography on the net today. The average child will see porn by age eleven online. At home, friends, grandparents, school, the library, make sure a porn filter is installed on the computer. Demand it. It will not go away if you ignore it.
